BK Racing’s GM Ecotec Oil Filter Relocation Bundle was developed for high-performance racing and swap applications where the factory Ecotec oil filter canister becomes restrictive, difficult to service, or problematic under sustained high RPM operation.

This complete bundle provides everything needed to convert the factory Ecotec oiling system to a remote oil filter configuration while fully bypassing the restrictive OEM oil filter canister assembly.

Factory Ecotec oil filter housings combine the oil filter, oil routing, and oil cooler passages into a compact assembly mounted directly to the engine block. While acceptable for OEM street applications, these systems can become restrictive and difficult to package in turbocharged builds, race cars, and custom engine swaps where improved oil flow, easier serviceability, and external cooling flexibility become important.

The BK Racing relocation system simplifies the oiling layout while allowing the oil filter to be mounted in a cooler and more accessible location better suited for high-performance applications.
