Cloyes upper timing components with a short-chain balance shaft delete

This BK Racing package combines Cloyes upper timing components with a short-chain water-pump drive conversion for compatible GM Ecotec builds. The delete layout removes both balance shafts and their sprockets while retaining the mechanical water pump.

The upper camshaft timing chain and shortened water-pump chain perform separate jobs. The short chain does not drive the oil pump.

Oil-passage blocking

Inner sleeves are sold separately. Follow the correct oil-passage blocking procedure for the components used in your build. BK Racing inner delete sleeves provide an option that leaves the factory inner bearing races in place.

Fitment and installation

Confirm the engine code, block and cylinder-head generation, timing components and water-pump drive layout. Professional installation is recommended. Check guide alignment, chain routing, tensioner operation, oil-passage sealing and engine timing before startup.
