Factory automatic J-body chassis were never designed to directly accept the manual F23 transmission mounting arrangement, requiring custom fabrication to properly support and position the drivetrain. These weld-on brackets simplify the conversion process by providing properly designed mounting locations for stock Cavalier F23 transmission mounts or BK Racing billet solid mounts.

Designed around real-world Ecotec and J-body swap applications, these brackets help maintain proper driveline alignment while improving drivetrain stability under hard launches, aggressive shifting, and racing conditions.

These brackets are commonly paired with the BK Racing Billet Solid Front Cavalier Transmission Mount for improved drivetrain rigidity, reduced transmission movement, and more consistent power transfer in high horsepower and racing applications.

If you are planning to use the newer Cobalt or Saturn style F23 transmission case in your Cavalier or Sunfire, we recommend using the BK Racing Swap Mount designed specifically for adapting the J-body chassis to the later Ecotec transmission case configuration. When using the BK Racing Swap Mount, these weld-on brackets are not required.
