BK Racing GM Ecotec Engine Sleeves were developed for high-performance and racing engine applications requiring increased cylinder strength, improved stability, and large bore capability beyond the limitations of factory Ecotec sleeves.
Designed specifically for GM Gen 3 Ecotec engine blocks, these sleeves are manufactured from high-strength ductile iron alloy material with chromium-enhanced wear resistance to support demanding naturally aspirated, turbocharged, and sustained RPM racing environments.
Unlike generic replacement sleeves, each BK Racing sleeve set is individually measured, inspected, and grouped into matched 4-cylinder sets to improve installation consistency and dimensional uniformity across the engine block.
Designed for serious Ecotec racing applications, these sleeves are commonly used in circle track, drag racing, turbocharged, and custom large bore engine builds where factory cylinder support becomes a limitation.

Bore Capability
BK Racing Ecotec sleeves are capable of supporting bore sizes from:
• 88.0mm
through
• 92.0mm
The 88–90mm range is generally recommended for most high-performance naturally aspirated applications.
Larger bore sizes up to 92mm may be possible depending on cylinder pressure, intended power level, block support, machine work quality, and overall engine combination.
Approximate remaining wall thickness at 92mm bore:
• Approximately 0.058"

Why Upgraded Ecotec Sleeves Matter
Factory Ecotec cylinder sleeves were never designed for extreme cylinder pressure, large bore racing applications, or sustained high RPM abuse commonly seen in competitive motorsports. As bore size and cylinder pressure increase, maintaining cylinder stability and consistent ring seal becomes increasingly important for power production and long-term durability.
Upgraded sleeves provide improved structural support and dimensional stability under severe operating conditions while allowing larger bore combinations commonly used in serious racing builds.

Unlike many generic sleeves sold in bulk, every BK Racing sleeve set is individually measured, inspected, and grouped into matched 4-cylinder sets based on body OD and flange OD consistency.
This additional quality control helps improve installation consistency and provides builders with a more uniform starting point during the machining process.
Designed for professional engine builders and performance machine shops, these sleeves are intended to be installed, decked, bored, and torque plate honed as part of a complete engine machining process.
BK Racing Ecotec sleeves support bore sizes from 88mm to 92mm, giving builders the flexibility to repair damaged cylinders, restore worn blocks, or create large-bore performance combinations.
For most high-performance naturally aspirated applications, we recommend bore sizes in the 88mm to 90mm range. Larger bores up to 92mm may be possible depending on application requirements, block support, cylinder pressure, cooling system performance, and machine shop discretion.
At a 92mm bore, approximately 0.058” of sleeve wall thickness remains, making proper machining and application selection critical.
