Complete BK Racing Ecotec Performance Valve Set

The BK Racing High-Performance Ecotec Intake & Exhaust Valve Set combines our purpose-developed intake and exhaust valves into one complete 16-valve performance Ecotec valve set for GM 2.0L, 2.2L and 2.4L Ecotec engines.

These are not simply replacement valves made from a different material. Both the intake and exhaust valves were developed specifically for performance Ecotec applications with a focus on airflow, durability, reduced unnecessary mass, and improved valve geometry.

Manufactured from 21-4N stainless steel and fully nitrided after final machining, this package gives engine builders a complete matched intake and exhaust valve solution designed for high-performance, racing, and high-RPM Ecotec engines.

Developed and Flow-Bench Tested

We approached the intake and exhaust sides individually because they have different jobs.

The HF35.6 intake valve was developed with an emphasis on curtain area and low-lift airflow, rather than simply installing the largest valve possible. During prototype testing with MWR Technologies, the BK Racing intake design demonstrated approximately 10 CFM more airflow than the OEM intake valve at .050" lift.

Our performance exhaust valve was developed around efficient exhaust flow, strength, and durability under sustained racing conditions. During flow-bench development with MWR Technologies, the BK Racing exhaust design also outflowed the OEM exhaust valve.

Rather than relying on theoretical improvements, both sides of the BK Racing Ecotec valve package were developed using actual flow-bench testing.

21-4N Stainless Steel with Full Nitriding

Every valve in the 16-piece package is manufactured from 21-4N stainless steel, a high-strength valve material well suited to demanding performance applications.

The finished valves receive a full nitrided treatment after final machining. This provides a hardened, wear-resistant surface without machining away the treated surface afterward.

The nitrided finish extends throughout the valve, including critical stem, keeper, and tip areas.

Two Intake Valve Configurations

The intake side is available in two configurations depending on the camshaft being used:

Standard / Stock Base Circle — For factory cams and aftermarket camshafts retaining stock-style base-circle geometry.

Reduced Base Circle / Regrind — Provides additional valve-tip height for combinations using reduced-base-circle or reground camshafts, giving the engine builder additional geometry to work with when setting up the valvetrain.

This allows the valve package to work with a much wider range of Ecotec cylinder-head and camshaft combinations without compromising the design of the valve itself.

Complete 16-Valve Ecotec Package

Each package includes:

  • 8 BK Racing HF35.6 Performance Intake Valves
  • 8 BK Racing Performance Exhaust Valves
  • 21-4N stainless-steel construction
  • Full nitrided treatment
  • Airflow-focused intake and exhaust geometry
  • Undercut stems
  • OEM-style triple keeper grooves
  • Flat combustion-side valve faces
  • 100% inspected valves
  • Matched sets
  • Standard or Reduced Base Circle/Regrind intake configuration
  • Developed and flow-bench tested with MWR Technologies

Designed as a Complete Ecotec Valvetrain System

For more demanding combinations, pair the BK Racing intake and exhaust valves with our 83 lb Ecotec Valve Springs, Lightweight Titanium Retainers and Solid Lash Adjusters.

Together, these components allow builders to address the valve, spring, retainer, and lash-control system as a complete package rather than upgrading one component at a time.

Applications

Designed for compatible GM 2.0L, 2.2L and 2.4L DOHC Ecotec cylinder heads, including performance and racing applications based around the L61, LAP, LE5, LE9, LSJ, and LNF engine families.

Ideal for:

Naturally aspirated • Turbocharged • Circle track • High-RPM • Performance street • Competition Ecotec builds

Why BK Racing?

There were already plenty of Ecotec valves on the market.

Our goal wasn't to make another set.

We wanted to develop an intake and exhaust combination specifically around the Ecotec cylinder head, test the designs, and offer them together as a complete performance valve package.

16 valves. One complete Ecotec package. Developed for airflow. Built for performance.

Continue Learning About Ecotec Exhaust Valves

Building the right Ecotec valvetrain involves more than choosing a single valve. Exhaust-valve material, head and stem geometry, valve springs, retainers, lash adjustment and camshaft geometry all work together—especially in sustained high-RPM racing applications. If you're putting together a complete combination, explore the guides below and see how components such as the BK Racing Ecotec Exhaust Valves, BK Racing 83 lb Valve Springs, BK Racing Lightweight Titanium Retainers and BK Racing Solid Lash Adjusters fit into the complete Ecotec valvetrain.
