Oversized Knurled Wheel Studs for Stronger, Safer Fitment

Designed for racers using 1” open-ended racing lug nuts who need additional stud engagement and a secure press fit in oversized wheel bearing hubs.

Over the years, we have been informed that some OEM replacement wheel bearings and hub assemblies are manufactured with larger wheel stud holes than others. While our standard extended wheel studs fit the vast majority of applications, certain replacement hubs may not provide the press fit necessary for proper wheel stud retention.

Many racers have successfully addressed this issue by installing standard extended wheel studs, bolting the hub assembly to a wheel to fully seat the studs, then welding the backside of the studs to the hub. This method has been used successfully in numerous racing applications when oversized hub holes are encountered.

To provide a cleaner solution, BK Racing now offers an oversized knurl extended ARP wheel stud designed specifically for Delta and J-Body applications equipped with hubs that have larger-than-normal wheel stud holes. The larger knurl diameter provides increased interference fit, helping restore proper stud retention without the need for welding in many applications.
