This kit replaces the factory Ecotec oil filter canister assembly and redirects oil flow through external lines, allowing the use of larger remote-mounted oil filters and dedicated oil cooling systems. Ideal for turbocharged, supercharged, circle track, drag racing, road racing, off-road, and custom Ecotec builds where improved oil temperature control and serviceability are important.

The factory oil filter housing can become restrictive and difficult to package in high horsepower applications, especially when turbo systems, custom intercooler piping, engine swaps, or racing oil coolers are added.
